Found Object Robots
I really, really love robots and I have no idea why. Building them out of junk and found objects is totally challenging and fun.
Art Dolls
I just started making these art dolls. Learning to sculpt faces is quite difficult - I have a new found respect for sculptors. This set of dolls are called the Sorrowful Sisters. They are all grieving for some kind of loss.
Oddballs
Clay is such a cool medium and I have been having lots of fun with it. So far, I have explored polymer clay, paper clay, and epoxy clay. Here are some of my creations.
Collage Paintings
Painting is a medium I never thought I would enjoy but once I tried it I was hooked. I especially like collage painting and using found materials to add interest and texture.
Digital Delights
Drawing on my graphic design background, I like to take vintage illustrations and add funny captions or combine elements in a quirky way. Some of these designs are used on notecards or tins. See my shop Trilby Works for the complete set.
Hippos
Hippos are so awesome that they have their own album. I really enjoy making all kinds of hippo items to delight hippopotamaniacs everywhere. You can buy my hippos at HippoMojo.com.
Monster Stuffies
I'm not crazy about sewing, but I am totally in love with faux fur. I get mine from a designer in California who has access to the fabric district and makes crazy accessories with it.
Doodles & Drawings
I've taken a few drawing classes but I can't really claim much talent in that area. However, I do like to doodle little creatures and I love to draw in Adobe Illustrator. Here are a few of my creations.
